Exits are different than bounces. Exits occur in all sessions but bounces happen only when the user exits from the same landing page without making actions. Bounce clearly denotes one single page sessions whereas exits can be after multiple multiple subpage visits. This number helps to know that which is the page from where the user exits the site maximum.
