Cookies that are persistent in nature i.e. it remains in the client’s or user’s hard drive until they expire or manually removed by the user. They help websites remember your information and settings when you visit them in the future and also result in faster and more convenient access.
They are also called as “permanent cookies”.
NOTE: Persistent cookies are stored in a text file on the clients computer.
